Inverness was incorporated to stay residential, and it has: acre-minimum lots, no retail strip, no Metra stop, and streets that wind through mature oak without sidewalks or lighting. Two things follow for hauling. Houses sit well back off unlit roads, so finding an address after dark takes longer than it should. And because the village has no post office, plenty of homes here are addressed to Palatine or Barrington, which routinely confuses booking. Covered from the Barrington office.
